Sunday Call 1-26-20

Good evening Orange Families, this is Mrs. Williams with a look at the upcoming week.

This week we will celebrate the 100th day of School!  On Friday, January 31st, feel free to dress up like you're 100 years old.  It's a great time to be creative and fun.  I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Have you ordered your yearbook?  Remember, yearbooks are available for pre-order right now.   If you don't pre order a yearbook, there won't be one for you in May.

Looking ahead, on Monday,  February 3rd, we will have Sports Spirit Day.  Feel free to wear your favorite sports jersey or other team gear.  We've also seen our kids wear their club sports sweatshirts or jerseys as well.  It's a fun day to see what sports our kids participate in or teams they root for!

In the Wednesday Folder this week, you'll see two fliers for our upcoming Week of Kindness.  It will be one week of Spirit Days and Kindness activities from February 11 through the 14th.

We have a few more spaces available on the Math Field Day team for our 5th and 6th grade kids to join.  If you would like to participate in Math Field Day, go to Mrs. Jensen's classroom at lunch on Tuesday.  Bring your lunch and learn some fun games!

This week we will study Habit 4- Think Win Win. Thinking  WIN WIN means everyone can win.  Instead of thinking about YOU and ME, win win thinks about BOTH OF US.  Think about a solution that will benefit everyone involved. WIN WIN isn't about giving up what you want to make someone else happy, it's about making EVERYONE happy.  It's different than the word compromise.  In a compromise each person gives in a little. WIN WIN is all about taking two ideas and working together to come up with a THIRD ALTERNATIVE that's better than each idea on its own.

It's going to be a great week at Orange.  We'll see you tomorrow morning!
